Microsoft to release free update for Windows 8

Microsoft announced that an update for Windows 8 will be available for free in the coming months. The update that will be named Windows 8.1 is to come after several complaints that Microsoft received concerning its new operating system.

A lot of people have been confused by Windows 8 especially with the start button that was available in Microsoft’s previous systems such as Windows XP, Windows 7, but with this new system they need to pull out a drawer of icons from the side.

Though Windows 8 that was released in October is not sold like other systems, but Microsoft announced that it has sold more than 100 million Windows 8 licenses, most of them for PC makers such as Dell Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co.
